The Basics

I figure it's best to start at the beginning as my fiancé and I have already had lots of chats about what we'd want at our wedding, so here are the basics for what we'd (mainly me) want as some of the key aspects of our day!
- Barn in the countryside
- Ceremony in a barn
- Celebration in a building of modern/rustic mix
- Room for a Ceilidh
Colour Scheme/Decor
- Neutral tones: greens, whites, browns etc
- Maybe some pops of colour through flowers
- Rough & ready/'unfinished'
- Dreamcatchers & fairylights
Flowers
- Natural looking - wildflowers, moss, foliage
- Baby's breath, succulents, ivy, ferns, lavender, eucalyptus
- Nothing too extravagant
Food
- Rustic and hearty
- Nothing too 'posh' or fancy
- Quick and easy to eat
- Not a big fan of a formal/time restricted sit down meal
The Dresses
- Wedding dress to have a vintage/folk/boho feel
- Lace, beading, embroidery
- Very light, pastel jade green for bridesmaids
- Unsure on bridesmaid design, want them to feel comfortable
- Failing that, floral folksy dresses
The Suits
- Smart/casual country mix
- Possibly tweed waistcoat and blazer combo
- No ties
- Chinos for evening?
- Brogues
Overall Style/Theme Key Words
- Woodland/Forest
- Bohemian/Hippie
- Rustic/Farm
- Folksy/Country
- Handmade
- Simple
- Nature
- Eco-Friendly
